We are heading down to The Bay area for a graduation (San Jose State), and the graduate has agreed to dive with us. We will be flying back, so we wanted to rent tanks and weight down there. Does anyone know of a shop that would likely have steel 100's with din valves? The talk is of diving Monterey Bay.

I've done business with wallins on line and have driven by their shop and it's big and right off the freeway in San Carlos SF bay area

Last time I went diving in Monterey my buddy rented some gear here. Seemed to be well stocked and right downtown monterey close to most of the dive spots

If you're heading to Monterey... I can recommend the Monterey Express, especially if Phil Sammet's at the helm. You can rent HP100s from Glenn's Aquarius II dive shop, which is right at the breakwater (popular local shore dive - makes a great night dive IMHO). They bank EAN32 and will blend other mixes. I'm headed down there this Friday to participate (for the 3rd or 4th time?) in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary survey project with an awesome gang of REEF folks including the fabulous fish lady herself, Janna Nichols.
