I think this guy's a dover sole. Seen at 70-80 feet somewhere between cove 1 and 2:

Also on that dive, I got what could be the world's worst picture of a horned shrimp:
which I was happy about, since how often do you see these guys anyway?

Horned Shrimp blend into the background way too much. I actually turned the contrast up on that picture a huge amount. Next time, I may take a piece of kelp along to provide a decent backdrop for little blend-ey guys like that.

Them horned shrimp are real buggers to get in focus even when you get them out in the open and that don't happen all that often.

No prob! I actually hope to be turning in some Hawaiian REEF surveys next week. I saw the site of that group that does the snorkel surveys on Waikiki beach, and hope to take their fish ID class on saturday.
