First Pics With Oly EPL-2

I finally decided to pick up a micro 4/3 camera and I went with the Oly in the Oly housing. I also picked up a Dyron +7 diopter for my macro shots.
I've only used the camera once and it was on a couple of low viz dives in Tacoma on Thursday. I got a couple of decent pics with the macro lens and I'm really looking forward to shooting in daylight with the good viz we've had at TTN and Redondo.

Are you off tomorrow?

Very nice shots!

What's your impression of the Oly *above* water? I have heard lots of good things about the 4/3 technical capabilities and seen some sample images, but not much of user impressions...

I've been using an EPL-1 for 15+ months now and love it UW (Oly housing and single Inon D2000). I liked it enough that I bought a second EPL-1 with the kit and 40-150 (?) telephoto as a package.

I don't like, and honestly have never liked, using live view outside of a housing. IF I was going to make the Pen my primary land camera (I have a Canon XSi for that), I'd spring for the Electronic View Finder since I just want to have the camera up to my eye. Also, in sunlight, I have a very hard time seeing the image on the Live View (NOT a problem UW).

Are there issues with the Pen? Of course -- but no camera is perfect and no camera in it's price range will be -- but it is a darn good piece of equipment and one I heartily recommend to anyone who is serious about UW photography AND who has a reasonable budget.

Almost there, although, you might need longer arms?
