The origin of Team Diving

I knew I had read this but it took me a while to find exactly where it was in my library. Tonight I found the passage. It is from "The Silent World" first published in 1953.
"After Dumas's ordeal on the pipe, we made a rule never to go down alone. It was the beginning of team diving, the essence of aqualung work." --Capt. Jacques-Yves Cousteau
The statement is in reference to Frédéric Dumas' near-fatal entanglement while solo diving the wreck of the Dalton in 1942. I found it interesting that not only was it early scuba divers who first referred to themselves as team divers, but it was in fact the very first pair.
