im planning a wicked fast drift dive for this epic nasty.. -2 exchange

splash is at 9 am or so..at driftwood
you must have a Large tank 100 or bigger
you must Have exp in current, and being seperated, and being a solo diver, and or being comfortable in this type of diving situation
we may or may not make Keystone, so be prepared to huff your gear up the beach and to the road..
we will prob have a deco obligation

I can't for the life of me tell where you are putting in and taking out. Keystone but Tacoma Narrows currents?
Got a map?

Driftwood is down the road just a bit from Keystone. If you took a right getting off the ferry it's maybe a mile or so. The road makes a sharp bend to the left, but if you hang a right instead there's a little parking lot. That's Driftwood.

Sounds intriguing, but my tanks are too small, I don't like going into deco, and I probably have to work that day...too bad though because it's so close to me! Have fun!

Here's the currents for the Pt Hudson station, which is near the middle of the channel between PT and Keystone. Pretty good current going that day.

You don't need a bigger tank. You're a fish anyway.

Is there a chance of doing this on the 6th for us working stiffs? The current isn't much slower and a little earlier.

I have done the pilings to jetty drift a few times and dove driftwood with Blaiz a couple times and this would be a killer shore drift dive. This link is a preview of what you can look forward to.

Yep.. Thats it.. I guess we can shallow drift it also if you stay on the slope rather than down at the base.. Which is 50 feeet

Yep, Park one car at keystone and the other at driftwood and have a fun ride

Back to the OP. Are you still set on the 7th? I can't miss any work right now but will sign on in a heart beat if you will move it to the 6th. Please!

Chris- As of today I am able to do that dive with you on the 7th.

I am still doing this dive.. Its a go.. Leave muk ferry at 730 am.. Arrive driftwood at 845 , go over dive plan.. Roger.. Roger..
