Getting tank filled without a cert

Post by DirtFisher »

Hi. Are there any dive shops in Seatle who will fill a tank without a cert? I looking to scuba dive in water less that 5 feet looking for a lost item. Thanks.

Highly doubtful as the liability is huge.
I suggest snorkeling instead of scuba diving without being taught properly. If its <5ft you should be able to see the bottom. If you can't see the bottom in <5ft of water a scuba tank won't be any help anyway.

Alternatively maybe a member here would be able to help you look? I looked for a gentleman's wedding ring last summer, unfortunately I didn't find it.

noppers, the liability would be huge...

- I would imagine that there would be a large amount of involuntary gagging
- I don't know about you but I'm not into swallowing it

See, this is why this board is great! There are lots of people who wouldn't mind helping you out, and the cost of a "thank you" beer at the end is roughly the same as a tank of air...
