That's the same housing I use for my G10. Mine is branded and has the official CANON sticker on it. I think the sticker cost an additional 49 bucks.

Used it last weekend too:





You can attach it to a tray if needed, but you'll need a fiberoptic strobe since there are no ports for a solid connetor. It's a fairly durable housing. I use mostly for taking pictures of clients boats when I do bottom work. So far it's lasted me 2 1/2 years.

The G11-G12 housing will not fit a G10. The camera body and controls are not the same

See if you can splurge for the G12 - uses the same housing, and you get HD video.
