Artist mixes toy figures with fish

Post by spatman »

Underwater photographer, Jason Isley, 42, originally from Essex, decided to have a bit of fun for a change with some of the smaller colourful reef fish in Borneo and Indonesia.

So he got a selection of toy human figures from soldiers to sunbathers and photographed them in a set of hilarious scenes as they interacted with the fish and other sea creatures.

Wow -- that whole series is so creative, and so beautifully photographed. For some of them, I can't even IMAGINE the patience required to get the shot (like the one with the catfish).

Does remind me of Ricky Redondo a bit, too . . .

For anybody who reads the original post, DO go to the article in the link. It's well worth the time!

Ricky's been languishing in my save-a-dive kit for a while now. If anyone wants to take him for a dive, I'll be happy to send him your way.

Great article. Says that many times it will take an entire dive to get one shot. Cool work, however I think I enjoy Jan's a little more!!

Thanks for sharing

No ... I'll be in Port Angeles, snowshoeing Hurricane Ridge on Sunday.

Oh we'll. I guess I'll just watch the Superbowl. Let me know when you're diving again. My schedule is really flexible these days.

Chrome warned me that that link contains malware. May not have gotten it completely cleaned.
