Weird Poopy Stuff

We were at Titlow by the Ferry slip and the bottom was covered with this stuff. Anyone know what it is? Weird looking...

Golf ball sized mostly, some a bit bigger, most smaller.

It was ALL over the place around the pilings where we were...
