The book is a bit dated, and occasionally a bit over the top, but I still think it's worth reading. It goes into equipment in great depth (you can get a more superficial treatment from the GUE Equipment link on the GUE website). It lays out Jarrod's view of the requirements for recreational, technical, and advanced technical diving (but I don't agree that one should have to be able to run a marathon to do advanced technical diving). It also talks about the philosophy of diving as a team.
It's not an expensive book, and it is thought-provoking.

I have read the equipment set up on all the sights I can find. I saw that the book was "older" and didn't know if it was still, for lack of a better word, relevant.
