I recently did a long drift dive near Pt. Defiance and was very excited to see countless sea stars thriving between PT Defiance and Owens beach area. Over the last 5 years the numbers have gone from nearly zero to now seeing hundreds and hundreds. Iā€™m hoping we get back to the days when these wonderful animals ruled the shalllows and the shorelines again. To help them out and protect them, I always wear my mask when I visit them at 60ā€™. Hopefully, Scott ( The Tacoma Bottle King)

Cool! Which species?
I wonder if they were congregating to mate.
