vis was about 25'... a little cool.... smooth as glass, not a ripple. Had about a 4' wolf eel come out to play, thought he was going to wrap around my camera. Kept swimming back and forth between Bric and I. Couldn't get a picture as I had my macro on and he was moving too fast for me to focus my camera on him.
Seems to still be a few cockerels out and about... one at around 10 and one around 40'. There are quite a few grunts in the cloud sponge but this was the first war bonnet I've seen.

Was the flagpole buoy floating today? Thinking about taking some people down there Sunday and would like to know what to expect. Maybe I'll clean the line a little.

Yes, it was floating today... just real heavy and low in the water

You are great at finding those cockerels. Did you say one was at a depth that I might actually see it? Very cool photos of the Grunt Sculpin and Warbonnet. I love seeing the various critters that hang out in the sponges. One of the many reasons I consider Flagpole my favorite place on earth.
