I seen this on my facebook and it look horrifying but glad everyone was OK.

Interesting to see that the lifeboat failed to deploy or inflate.

The video doesn't show the boat sinking far enough to cause a canister packed life raft to inflate. Once released from a cradle (either manually or by an automatic hydro-static release) typically 50'-100' of line has to be pulled out of the canister before the inflation mechanism is triggered.

Take a look at the instructions on on the canister next time you are around a raft.
