That's interesting. Thanks for posting. I used to live down there and had no idea there was any part of the bay that was 217' deep. I always thought the whole thing was 25' deep and they just dredged shipping lanes in it.

What I find surprising about this is that it's a major port, where the shipping channels should be regularly charted and very well-known. I'm wondering if they knew it was there for a long time but didn't know what ship it was.
