HOG 2nd stage question

Maybe this isnt a good test, but for scootering, I'm always concerned over regulators leaking. So I pressurize the lines in my test tank, and shake the 2nd abit to see how much they leak.

My Scuba Pro R190s (and thank you Captain Jack for the recommendation on these, they work awesome), bubble a small amount when shaken underwater, but these Hogs bubble like air jets in a hot tub and leak down fast.

I realize its not a totally valid test, but regs on stages do get bounced around abit. I could just stick with the hogs and put inline shutoffs, but I'm not too hip on that since for my breather, these are Bail Out.

Thoughts?

I have a Hog I use as my deco reg. I pressurize it at the surface and need to re-check and recharge it every 10 minutes or so or it will completely leak down.

Can you adjust the cracking pressure on the second stages?

I'm sure you checked the IP ?

We fiddled with hogs a couple of years ago and gave up on them. Out of the box, some of them had IP's over 150.
Went back to Scuba Pro, Atomic or Apeks, you get what you pay for.

Safe diving,
Jerry

Yes, IP checked, these are connected to SP Mk2's..., and one of the HOGS had just been rebuilt... they all do it. Even twiddling with cracking pressure helps, but still bubbles like a jacuzzi when shaken.
