Greetings from Kennewick... man.

I've been posting up a storm in my thread under the trips and planning section and realized that I've never posted an intro. Sorry about that breach of etiquette.

So here I am...

Who: Ben Messinger

Where: Kennewick (that hot arid other side of the state)

What (work): investment advisor (independent firm)

What (gear): bp/w, jetfins, apeks regs, viking & mobbies drysuits, DIY HID can light

What (fun): being a husband & dad, diving, scca racing, diving, flyfishing, hiking, diving, metal-work & machining, diving, target shooting, diving.... and other misc. stuff. I'm interested in everything. I love to build/make stuff (latest project is a 10ah LIon 30w HID canister light)

When: 30-something these days. Started diving at age 14.

How: Grew up in SE Idaho watching Cousteau & snorkeling in the Snake river as a kid. Got a C-card at the local college as soon as I was old enough that they'd let me in. Dove boring murky fresh-water all those years & sort of burned out. Finally dove in the ocean for the first time a year and a half ago. Now I can't get enough and make trips across the Cascades to go diving every chance I get.

So, that's a snapshot of me. As my trips over to dive become more regular I am hoping to meet and make friends with many of you.

I'll be doing a Discover Scuba for some lucky group in Prosser soon! (Donated it to the Rotary Club there...)

Perhaps we'll be able to get more coming over to our side of the mountains for the fishies!!
