Hey guys

I'm looking to get a new dive computer and wanted your advice.

I don't need anything fancy but I am looking for one with these features:
Air integrated
Has compass built in
Around $500 price tag brand new

I used to have a wrist computer but I wouldn't mind having a console one.

Thanks so much in advance guys!

Going from wrist to console?
Can I ask what drove this decision?

I really like my Petrel. Doesn't have a.i. and a little more $ though.

My wife and I use the first generation Cobalt computers. The second generation models have a much faster compass and an even better display. That being said, I wanted to switch to a wrist-mounted computer so I got a Shearwater Petrel 2. No air integration but a ton of other features that put it over the top. My wife wants to make the switch too. If you are really bent on an air integrated computer (bad pun), take a look at the Cobalt 2 (although about twice the budget you had in mind).

I liked my old wrist computer but I like the idea of not having to put it on and off every time I go diving. I also like the idea of not having to worry about two batteries (transmitter and comouter). It's less streamlined but I wanted to give it a try.

Yeah and I don't need a color screen either. I've checked out cobalt 2 as well and that's way out of my price range it looks like. I'm guessing $500 for a new one is a bit low?

Scubapro has a bunch of seasonal offers on the Galileo Luna which has all the features you are looking for. If you get the right promo you might pay just a little more than your budget for a new item with full warranty (and no, it's not being discontinued)
