Howdy

Post by L.A. »

Greetings! Cool web site and first time here. Looking forward to reading some good posts and hopefully adding some of my own. I recently housed a Canon Powershot A640 and am looking forward to posting some photos. That reminds me...I need to get an external flash for the rig!

Where do you normally dive and how often?

Welcome to NWDC MC1dash1Bravo! What's the story behind the name? Is that a trucker call sign, or military lingo?

A dash one bravo -1B is an army parachute.

Thanks for the kind comments. Blitz has it right. MC1-1B is the nomenclature for a military parachute which has likely been superseded by an updated model since my glory days (ETS'd from Ft. Lewis in '89).

Bassman: I dive Seacrest a fair amount -- most weekends if not busy. I work full time and am in evening grad school program, so time is tight and Seacrest is nice and close and offers enough to keep me occupied.

Calvin: That is a very interesting avatar!

Wait about 2 minutes and he will have a different one. Calvin seems to change his avatar more often than (insert your own analogy here)

I had one jump on a T10C while I was active duty and it was in it's first stage of use then (1988). Blitz, you must be a military man?

I feel your pain brother. My knees came out ok, but one of my buddies has bad knees from jumping and road marching and a little cold sensitivity due some frost nip he got in South Rainier. Which unit were in, Blitz? I was in A Co., 2/75.
