Gdog, love that lionfish shot and the shots of that attractive diver without the stab wounds.

Wondered if you had any idea how close you came to shark bite fodderScubie Doo wrote:Gdog, love that lionfish shot and the shots of that attractive diver without the stab wounds.

That oil rig looked awesome.
Only thing I really could suggest is next time please pay for my 1st class airline ticket and captain's room on the live-aboard.
...I like going to the chamber.. They have great food there, and awsome live music "H20doctor"

I was on the Fling for these same dives with Scubie Doo. Rather than start a new thread I'll just piggyback here and avoid confusion.
For each dive I used my Wide Angle lens hoping to get the classic Manta Ray shot. Not successful with that, had to settle for a flyby. (perhaps I'll have to go back).
My camera rig was a Nikon D800 with a 15mm fisheye.
Returning to the MV Fling. The Divemaster (in red) was a bit of a 'drill-sergeant', but once you became accustomed to his manners he proved to be great and was very helpful.

7:00 AM splash at Stetson Bank
Spotted Moray at Stetson Bank
Manta Ray at Stetson Bank. A flyby was all I was able to capture. Others were luckier than I.
Coral heads at East Flower Garden Bank. We did a night dive here as well.
Barracuda seemed to like to hang out with us at the safety stops
