I spent a few days in Key Largo last week. The weather was perfect and the diving was great!! I dove with Ocean Divers, they are always a first class operation.

The dives in the Key Largo area are very easy. They are shallow with very little current. The reefs drop down into channels, making navigation really easy

The deeper dives are on the Spiegel Grove and the USS Duane. They were intentionally sunk for divers. At this point both wrecks have really good growth covering them.

The nights in the Keys are really beautiful.

As always I can't wait to go back!

That is a Caribbean Reef Shark. The reef Sharks were pretty good sized, in the six foot range. They were some of the biggest reef sharks that I have seen.

The highlight if the trip was a dive that I had never done before, it was called Conch Wall. FIU runs a habitat very near to that wall, it's called AQUARIUS. The wall is pristine, it is a long boat ride so it gets very little pressure. It was really spectacular, I didn't realize the Keys had diving of that quality. It was as good as any in the Carribbean.

One of my favorite dive locations. They have easy, don't need a computer, watch or dive plan, just dive till the cylinder is empty dives. Then there are some that are challenging, like the Spiegel Grove and the Coast Guard Cutters. Both are deep and the variable current at the Spiegel Grove can be a challenge.

Something for everyone there and lots of very good ops.
