I felt bad for this little critter. Good news, it eventually got away :-) Special thanks to gdog for spotting this.

Thanks :-) If you zoom in, you can see particles of dirt/sand on the eyeball. That is what a 100mm lens with a +10 diopter gets you, haha. Also notice how shallow the DOF is. The front of the eyeball is in focus and the particles are slightly out of focus, DOF is like 1/16" - 1/8". Tough shooting for sure.

Echo, it is actually a Cockscomb. I thought it was a gunnel too. Notice the little "mohawk" on the head?

+3 for the shrimp eye

Guess I missed a great dive. How did parking work with that many divers?

Some did the gear drop and parked across the main road.

Well, actually, that would mean we're all right, since that's just the Family name. Scoobie was right with the genus/species that it is a high cockscomb.

I did not manage to capture any Wild Kingdom fish on fish action, but I will share a few highlights from this Thursday's diving. It was great to meet up with such a great group and be treated to better than expect Vis @ TTN.

Hey Dave, when we passed by the clutch of opalescent squid eggs, did you notice the school of shimmering things further off in the distance? Because I could swear that it was a school/squadron of squid. At least a hundred of them.

I did see a few schools of 100+ small perch-like fish, perhaps only 1-2 inches long. Mostly in the shallows and they flitted by pretty fast each time. I didn't catch site of anything that looked like squid myself.

I love the Voyager with the jellyfish, but the Enterprise was the one that ran into the space jellyfish.

Great Pics YellowEye!!! It's always cool to see fish eggs! And I really love that red shrimp. He's adorable!!!

Hello Auzauviir,
You are so awesome for knowing that. The 1st episode of TNG. :)
I do have a picture of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D fighting a squid. Let me find it and I'll post it for you.
