surprise at flagpole today

Haven't posted for awhile, but haven't been diving either. Now I'm back and got a big surprise at flagpole today. Everything from the marker buoy down to the knuckle is new. After the rope had been cut, it was pretty ragged for a long time. Even the buoy on the line is new.
Vis wasn't great, but wasn't bad either. At 41' I could see the top of the knuckle which is about 70'. Surface was pretty murky down to about the 41' mark. The water seems to be getting real healthy again as there are wolf eels in almost every hole, just like it was 10 years ago.
3 octo's sitting on huge nest of eggs. One very, very, very large male who didn't want to come out and play ... thank goodness.
Tons of assorted rock fish, many sea stars, some small, some big but all look healthy. A major lack of nudi's.
Sorry, no pictures of anything as my camera sprung a leak and had to leave it in the boat. At least no damage was done!
