Howdy Folks!
I just got back from a great trip to God's Pocket up near the northern tip of Vancouver Island. This is definitely one of my favorite dive areas, and this trip did not disappoint. Bill & Annie had a class act as usual. The weather was a bit dicey at times (with 3 dives really tucked in) but the reef was beautiful!
We had a great crew of 13 divers. 12 of us had cameras, so it was a lot of fun!
This trip I got to play with a new vertical-mount camera tray that I've devised. I'm really liking it!

- SJ cruising over the reef at Snowfall
- This Puget Sound King Crab was truly the king of the reef
- Black rockfish
- Egg yolk jelly
- Leather stars lined Buttertart Reef
- Browning Wall
- This egg yolk jelly drifted down a down-current on browning wall
- Red soft corrals, a blood star, decorator crab, yoy rockfish and boring yellow sponges make this scene

- A small number of ochre stars lined the shallows
- This egg-yolk jelly was huge. Nearly as big as a diver, the bell was huge!
- Surf anemones

- Fish eating anemones. This scene also contains a ringed top snail as well as brooding anemones

- China Rockfish!
- You can see why these are called Egg Yolk jellies
