Is There Anything To See?

How many times have you told someone you are going SCUBA diving in the cold waters of the 'sound' or the 'canal' and they ask you, "Is there anything to see underwater?"
Here is something to share with them so they can see why we love our 'cold' water diving in the Pacific Northwest.

Enjoy,

Thanks PapaZ. It's all relative. Many on this board find plenty to look at. Jan Kocian dives the same sites and seems to never find an end of delights. Others are dismissive of everything. I remember ending a dive at the old Edmonds oil pier on one of those winter days when the vis was terrific. The diver undressing at the car next to me said, "That was a huge disappointment. I thought this was supposed to be a good dive." I mentioned looking up from the bottom of the pier to see schools of tube snouts and perch. How the bottom was carpeted with Pycnopodia, seeing octopus, lingcod, cabezon, harbor seals, and even a big skate. He said, "Yeah, I saw all of that, but I was hoping for something special." :questionmarks:

We always tell them we find dead bodies, buried gold, or the last person that asked us what we find down there.
