Howdy Folks
On the 4th of July, Stephen Martin, ScubaJess and I headed out to Fox Island for some adventures
First dive -- Fox Island East Wall. This was only my second time here, and I really enjoyed it. The wall starts out immediately from shore, and is plastered with hedgehog hydroids, zooanthids, decorator crabs, sea stars, kelp, grunt sculpins, and other goodies. The slope below was inhabited with pink-mouthed hydroids, hermits, grunt sculpins, etc. Viz was great, and we had a lot of beautiful fried-egg jellies swim by.
Second dive -- Fox Island West Wall. Again, we had great viz. Along the wall we found at least 3 octos in dens. We had some nice fish, huge buffalo sculpins. There were also quite a few medium sized sunflower stars that looked healthy! This was by far the best viz I've had at this site, and the critters were all out so I really enjoyed it.
Hope you all had a great 4th!
