Met up with Vadsam and one of his friends to do a dive today at Junkyard. Haven't been in the sound for about 3 weeks, so I was itching to get back in. Good 30ft vis the first dive, dropping a bit on the second. Saw a couple new things. Overall was a good day.

Started out immediately with a Sturgeon Poacher. Never seen one before today.

Followed by a Rose star, which is another new one for me.

And of course the familiar creatures that are all over the place.

Second dive we had 2 octos.

The first one was stubborn and wouldn't come out from under its log

And the second one was playing nice out in the open for a bit.

Finally it got annoyed with my strobes and decided it was done.

Very cool.
There are often rose stars and poachers at that site for some reason. Sea spiders too, though finding those can be a bit more subtle...

Wow great snaps! It's always fun to see new critters & octos in the open :-)

It's an Olympus E-M5mkII and the Olympus 60mm Macro lens.
Dual YS-D2 strobes
Nauticam Housing/port

I think the lens is my favorite of any that I've used (including my old Canon dslr stuff). Maybe not quite as nice as the 70-200 2.8L for topside stuff, but it's close. I would have liked to get the E-M1mkII, but that was way out of my price range. Managed to get this one used.
