Another Thursday night at Redondo.

I've been experimenting with a Retra Light Shaping Device (snoot) on my Ikelite DS161. Thank God for the strobe mode with a modeling light. Would not be able to aim the snoot without it. I've been looking for a stubby squid for the last couple weeks but no luck. Did find a few red octos. I did not bother looking for the lumpies.

Here are a few of my sea critters & some nice garbage we cleaned up. So many golf balls it's like a easter egg hunt.

Happy Diving!!! :taco: :joshsmith: :pirate:  :eric:

Good call on the Retra LSD. I just got one in the mail yesterday.

Wasn't there for this week, but I got this lumpie shot last week. This was with one normal flash and the second had a homemade 3D printed snoot on it. No ability to aim it other than guess at it. Gave in and bought the LSD instead finally.

Awesome photos and awesome diving! I'm liking those lumpies, horned shrimp, gunnels and the stiletto shrimp! Cool lumpy colors. I only saw one big fat ugly brown lumpy at 66 feet!

It was actually a lot of fun cleaning up all that junk down there. I'm sure you guys are all going to miss the megaphone though :) It would be great to do some more cleanup down there in the future, maybe a group dive?
A big fat brown lumpy I found at 66 feet. When the light hit him at the right angle, he looked more gold like this. Have you noticed the colors change depending on direction of the light on these?
