Awesome shots Jess. There are sooooooooooooooo many of those Aeolids on Whidbey right now!!!!!!!!! I thought there were a lot at Keystone until last night in Anacortes where there were literally thousands. I like the shrimp riding the jelly too. I've seen that before and always laugh through my reg.

Beautiful shots, love that dogfish! Those are the most common thing I seem to catch, no matter if I’m chasing salmon or flounders... They never look quite so calm as this guy, for some reason!

Cool shots! Good to run into you guys at Keystone Saturday. Your picture from the pilings doesn't look like anything we were able to see lol.

End of April adventure - shark!

Post by YellowEye » Wed May 01, 2019 11:33 am

Howdy Folks!

Several of us had a fun run on Whidbey last weekend.

Friday... Deception Pass. 6 divers total
Saturday... We tried Deception pass (full parking lot), but got blown out and most cancelled**. Most went on to Keystone. Had a fun picnic!
Sunday... Deception Pass (my first time macro there). 20+ divers

** some didn't cancel on Saturday, and the dive didn't go so well, but all are okay. That's a story for another thread...

What a great weekend!

Here were some of the snaps

Jess saw her first dogfish
DSC_5521.jpg
Keystone pilings... great viz near the surface, 15'. Others were reporting lousy viz on the jetty.

The Pass

Glassy plume hydroids are some of my favorites

Tons of nudies and PMH's in the pass right now

Hope you all had an epic good-tide weekend!
