A couple videos from the north end of Lincoln Park, along with a research paper ON the kelp forests of Lincoln Park. The bed used to fill that whole north bay and there was a second bed on the SOUTH side of the point which is not there currently.

I'm very interested if anyone has anecdotal info of the beds over the past 20-30 years. I am curious if the return of the beds is because they stopped nourishing the beach down there (adding sand which messes up kelp habitat) or we are seeing a kelp forest renaissance due to less pollution due to Covid quarantine and fewer cars on the road. I suspect it is a combination of the the two, but I need more data points.
