Underwater changes at Redondo

My wife and I dove the north side at Redondo for the first time in a couple months (we've been looking for lumpies on the south side since then) and we noticed how much has changed from all the runoff from the heavy rains we had. It looks like a huge amount of sand and rocks have been deposited off the MAST pier -- the bottom is completely barren around the large pipe (which has a GPO under it again) and there are bands of bark and other tree debris in the shallower areas. The culvert that enters the sound next to the step has also cut a deep channel along the MAST pier, too, which was probably the source of the new materials. The area between the pipe and the boat to the north where the shallow line starts is completely barren and it seems like the boat may have even moved farther north if that is even possible. We were really surprised at the extent of the changes.
