Northwest Dive Club

Greetings, fellow divers.

I have family in Washington, so I recently purchased "The Northwest Dive Guide", by Mike Hughes. I may make it out to visit, and perhaps get in a dive or two or three.

I realize that the book has a copyright of 2009, but it mentions a couple things that I wanted to ask about.

One, is there still a Northwest Dive News publication (probably online?)

And, two, Mr. Hughes references the Northwest Dive and Travel Expo. Doing an internet search, I think about ten years ago was the most recent "hit" I found. Is that something that still occurs, maybe under a different name?

Hi. Unfortunately that magazine and show are now defunct. We still have great diving though! Hope to see you out here. Do you dive Maine?

I figured my lack of results via an internet search meant that they were gone.

I do dive in Maine, though I haven't been active the last few years. During the pandemic, I have done some online courses through SSI, a variety of webinars, and such. I just dropped a couple tanks off at the LDS to get hydro'd and VIP'd. So, come July I should be getting in some bottom time and knocking the rust off.

Before any trip out, I will plan on posting for ideas.
