Let's say, hypothetically, that a diver finds a sunken boat (or vehicle, or whatever) somewhere in Puget Sound.
Maybe the original owner of said boat wants to recover it. Or maybe not. Either way, the diver gets there first, and raises/salvages the boat.
What rights does the salvager have? Does the owner have a claim? Anybody know the legalese about this?
Just thinkin' outside the boxfish...

Depending on what transpired the vessel or vehicle may belong to the insurance company that paid out a claim on it. All kinds of weird little loop holes to keep you from keeping what was retrieved.
