Scuba tank with internal bladder rather than a BCD. What could possibly go wrong?

Avelo scuba system moves buoyancy control into a high-tech air tank

So let me get this straight... The tank includes a battery and water pump, that can pump sea water into the tank at a pressure of 4000psi to compensate for changes in buoyancy?

Uh, good idea. I'll watch, thanks.

Interesting idea, but changes through its fill/discharge with respect to balance head/toe is intriguing

I imagine adding water to the tank to make it negatively buoyant, and watching the pressure on the SPG go through the roof. At some point the first stage explodes. But that's just a nit.
