Well, in spite of the recent snow, we made it into the Village of Tahsis! Scott and Jude are treating us to a wonderful week of diving! No time to write a full report here, but I wanted to post a few photos of the past few days. Some of the things we're seeing are: Tons of Rock Scallops, Puget Sound King Crabs, Feather Stars everywhere, Strawberry Anemones, Cloud Sponges, Chimney Sponges (HUGE!), Heart Crab, Rhinoceros Crab, Butterfly Crab, Spiny Lithode Crab, Huge massive schools of Yellowtail Rockfish, Glassy Tunicates, Sea Peach tunicates, light bulb tunicates, and to my delight, more Northern Abalone than I've ever seen!!
The road in:
Scott, our captain, hanging around between dives. The weather has been BEAUTIFUL!! Viz close to 50 feet today on one site.
Strawberry Anemones, Rock Scallops and Chimney sponges...
A juvenile PS King Crab, cute little bugger!
Northern Abalone!!!
More photos as I get them posted here:

Oh, YEAH!
Those snowy mountains look GORGEOUS!!!!
Nootka Sound is one of the best kept little secrets of diving in the Pacific Northwest - that sounds corny, but it's true - and Tahtsa Dive Charters will make you feel right at home! I can't wait for my next trip up there! Hopefully, I will be back there in the Fall.
From your photos it looks like Scott has modified the boat a bit with new tank racks.

Hi Doug,
Yup, I saw that too! Cockerell's Dorid.
We're here in the office getting ready to head back out for today's diving. Weather is great, again. I hope to go back to Mozino Point and really want to find those Gorgonian corals! Unfortunately we couldn't find them yesterday.
First day we dove Shark Point and Boulder Alley. Boulder Alley is AMAZING!!! There are these huge house-sized 'boulders' that form walls all over the place, tons of overhangs and ledges too. Extremely interesting topography, with cloud and chimney sponges adorning the rock. Wow!
I will have tons more photos once I get back and get the film developed. All I have so far are my digital shots. Been taking two cameras down there!
