Decompression Workshop

Post by vbcoachchris »

I have a few spots remaining for a free decompression workshop scheduled for Monday June 9th and Tuesday June 10th from 6:30 – 9:00 PM in Kenmore WA.

The workshop will cover the following:

Causes DCS?
Factors that contribute to DCS
Types of DCS
Evolution of Decompression models
Current Decompression Models
Decompression strategies

Whether you are a recreational diver or a technical diver, understanding what we know, think we know, and don’t know might help you in your diving enjoyment.

Call or email to secure a spot.

I will be there as well. The last work shop on roles of a safety diver was very good. This one should be just as good.

I'm interested as well, and I'm down in the South.

Can't do Sunday AM or Wed PM, and would rather stay away from Monday, but with advance notice can pretty much make any other time work.

My teaching schedule has finally relaxed and I have some flexibility on when to hold this workshop. It looks like Guanjin's coming from Vancouver. I would like to accommodate as many people is possible, so if you guys can send me some possible days or dates, we can get it on the calendar.

Hey Scott,

I'd love to attend the next one as well. I'll email you some dates which would work for me. I'll have some new toys to enter into the deco-mix as well... :rr:

Scott, thanks for having me in your consideration.

So far I have no firm plans this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Next month, I'm working Mon-Fri at a real job, and every Sat, Sun teaching/leading trips at a dive shop. I might be able to take the 6th or 27th off if needed.

If it's a weekday evening after work I can make almost any day work. If it's a weekend I'll try to work it in. Sundays are typically the best weekend days for me.

I have two versions of this workshop. One is detailed historical, theoretical, and practical approach for recreational and technical divers. This workshop takes about 6-8 hours to complete.

I also conduct a one day version of this workshop that tailored to the recreational / Intro to technical diver. This workshop takes about 3-4 hours to complete.

I will hold the shorter workshop on Monday, September 22nd (Tom, I hope you can make that work).

I will hold the 6-8 hour version on a weekend later in the year(Guangin, send me some dates that might work in October/November).

Workshops are free

Monday, September 22nd 6:30-9:30(ish) pm in Kenmore

Let me know if you are planning on attending.

Scott, thank you for offering these. Alas, Sep 22 is my birthday, which by itself wouldn't be a problem, (what would you rather do on your birthday other than a deco workshop?!) except that I will be in Bonaire! \:D/

Keep me posted on the longer version.

I'd like to attend the long one, but the only weekend I have in October would be the 25th. I don't have November's dates yet.
