The tides aren't too great this weekend but we're not going to let that stop us from having fun are we? Viz has been pretty good lately, including teal blue viz at deception pass! Appreciate your reports. Have a great weekend!

Have a great weekend of diving! Make sure the wind forecast looks good where you're planning to go as there'll be some wind this weekend. You can find local forecasts for any dive site at pnwdiving.com. Thanks for your reports!

Some reports of poor viz are pouring in after the recent rains. As you may have heard, Redondo looked terrible yesterday. Would appreciate any more recent reports people have for other sites!

Have a great weekend!

In case you haven't heard, viz hasn't been great lately. There seems to be a little respite in hood canal based on reports late last week.
Let us know if you find better viz somewhere!

I dove Sunrise and Dalco Wall today and it was not bad. Sunrise was about 10 feet, and Dalco was better at 15 feet. Two nice dives with GPO's, Wolfeels, and Grunt Sculpin babies. Also a red irish lord on eggs.

Hood Canal, 12/10/2022
“‘Stairway”

Visibility:
A clear 15-20 feet, 30+ feet in the shallows (high tide)

Awesome viz!
Really clear (and cold) in the top 30fsw.
Below 40fsw, starts to get slightly hazy…but still amazing for PNW.
Go dive!!!

...I like going to the chamber.. They have great food there, and awsome live music "H20doctor"

Well yuck. Probably all the runoff making things cloudy.

I just heard a report that Lake Tahoe has 'overturned' due to cold weather, bringing very clear water to the surface. It hasn't been that cold here but thought it worth investigating...
