Re: Just my introduction
Welcome! There are quite a few Oregonians on the board, and plenty of both Oregonians and non-Oregonians who love to dive, so let us know when you're ready to dive too. Keep us posted on how the certification is progressing!

Good idea. We'll have to make sure that gets put on the Puget Sound Partnership's Action Agenda.
Welcome to the board! Although not OFFICIALLY an Oregonian (I live just across the bridge in Vancouver) I consider myself one for many purposes. It's awesome to have dual citizenship.
You've chosen a very good shop. Hilde and Dave run things well and they've been in the business a long, long time.
Another thing you might consider is joining the Oregon Scuba dive club. Next meeting is on Thurs, March 5th, at Buster's BBQ in Tigard. (and I just happen to be the speaker that night) hehe!! They also have a yahoo email list. Their website is located here: http://www.oregonscuba.com

Re: Just my introduction
Cool,
I am going to use my reef form up this weekend so I will be there. Thanks for the talk in Vancouver. Oops I think I hijacked this thread so back to the regular welcomes.

Welcome JAdam!
Keep us posted about your training, What went well, what didn't go well, all of the things that stuck out for ya!
I was amazed by the whole weightlessness thing , and I still am, three years later!
Everyone here was a brand new diver at one time and you will find alot of help in finding buddies and information.
And if your ever up around Seattle/Tacoma area on a Thursday, send me a PM and we'll go diving!
It's just that easy!
Meanwhile enjoy the adventure and welcome to the addiction
