Northwest Dive Club

Well, NWDC doesn't have chat presently but what would it take to put a chat function on here? I think it'd be a great way to get to know people I've never met even better and I could pass the time in class chatting with friends.

I'm completely ignorant regarding this sort of thing, but other sites like UTD and Dive Matrix have it.

Not Jerry, but the band is playing on. People watching at a Dead show was something else. Kinda miss it. :geek:

I could probably set up a jabber server. Or an IRC server, and I can link a java interface so anyone could login.

I think the default on this project is to Spatman and Calvin. I don't speak jabber or Java the Hut and know nothing about this. I appreciate the offer - sounds smart to me, but they're the two that know what it going on with the code on this site. Spatty? Tangfish?

Doug, I hacked NWDC just the other day and installed a chat room. It's HERE. Since I don't have actual root access I'm unable to fix the latency problem but it works if you are patient. Just refresh every minute or so and you're golden.
