Directions to the Wolfies at LD

Post by dwashbur »

We're planning to head to Les Davis tomorrow and are hoping to find the wolf eels there for the first time. I'm wondering if anybody can give me a general heading/depth/blahblahblah toward them? If there's concern about too many people disturbing them, feel free to PM any info you'd like to share.

thanks!
Dave

I have never seen wolfies there and have dove that site a lot.. Just a lot of silt and pilings from other people working on buoyancy.
60% of the time it works, every time...

With the exception of things like wolfies (we haven't seen them either) and some rockfish and lingcod, at LD you have to look CLOSE. The best stuff is pretty tiny: nudibranchs, swimming scallops, anemones, little shrimps, that sort of thing. If you haven't seen anything interesting at Les Davis, you haven't been looking for the right things ;)

Hey, if you dive LD one time with cardiver, you would find a better appreciation of that site. :smt064
