World Ocean Day

Post by girldiver »

On World Ocean Day, Monday, June 8, join with Highline Community College MaST and Girldiver Scuba as we celebrate the oceans we love to frolic under.

From 10 - 12 a.m., we have invited local and state leaders to join with students from Nautilus Elementary as we showcase the learning environment in our own backyard.

We will have divers from Nisqually Fisheries using our underwater camera to project the underwater life to our screens in the MaST Center.

There will be representatives from the Governors office, Department of Natural Resources, State Representatives, as well as leadership from the Des Moines and Federal Way school district in attendance.

Bringing attention to the Puget Sound environment, and it's impact on future generations to the leaders in our State is vitally important if we want to preserve and protect our emerald waters.

Please feel free to join the celebration at 10 am.

Sounds like a very cool event, Cindy! And you gotta love the name of the elementary school too. Perfect!

Hope you get great attendance. The MaST is the perfect place to hold this.

Nice going!

I just saw this post. A little late to participate.

How did it go?
