FREE Dive Planning and Gas Management Workshop

I am running a FREE Dive Planning and Gas Management Workshop (Recreational Level)

Location: Seattle, WA
Time: 6:30-9:00 pm
Date: Wednesday September 16th

The workshop will help to develop "scuba math" ("on th fly" mental calculations) skills, as well as developing some quick "rules of thumb".

Topics include:

Types of Gas Plans
Calculating Reserve Gas (Why some times 500 psi is not even close to enough)
Setting Turn Pressures
Strategies for Decreasing Gas Consumption
Calculating SAC Rate (Rang)
Factoring Dissimilar Tank Sizes
Estimating Dive Time
Developing a Dive Plan (Including Multilevel Profile Dive Planning)

The workshop will run from 6:30 pm -9:00 pm (or so) on Wednesday September 16th.

Location of the workshop will be Lighthouse Dive Center 8215 Lake City Way Seattle, WA 98115

I have a few spots open, so contact me if you want to attend.

I have 9 or 10 people signed up so far. I will try to cap the class at 12 people, so if you can't make it or if you are bringing a friend or 2 please let me know.

I have 12 participants, so I am full as of now. I will let everyone know if the spot becomes available for anyreason.

"Decompression Simplified" workshop will be October 14th. I will cap that workshop at 12 as well, so you can RSVP anytime. I will do another GM workshop before I leave for the Florida Caves :clap: in Mid November.

My daughter asked me this morning why I went to it. I told her it will help to make sure I come back from a dive.

It kind of changes your perspective and approach to planning, doesn't it?

Tell us more about your impressions of the class. What surprised you? What did you take away from it?

The Gas Management classes Bob, Brian, and Scott have put on over the years have been fantastic and have made a LOT of people on this board, and elsewhere, much safer divers. :goodpost:

We had a great turn out last night :smt038 . 14 divers with a wide range of experience.
