Re: Big Buddy/Club Dive - Redondo, August 16th!

We're planning on camping at Dash Point. There are two spots available one with three campsites and one with two. You have to reserve them together, but each site has to be reserved for a different person.

Re: Garibaldi air fills

I called Dougs Diving. They no longer have a dive shop. They suggested Garibaldi aquasports, but I was unable to get them on the telephone and their website is gone. I guess we will bring enough air for a couple of dives and get them filled on the way home in astoria.

Does anyone know of a compressor in the Tillamook area? We are going to be in the area aug 23-25 for a family outing and would like to sneak out to do some crab wrangling.

Re: Drysuit training

Although my schedule this year so far has not really allowed me to hook up with any of the new divers (I've been working almost every weekend I'm in town), the fall should be different. (It WILL be different, or I'm finding another job!) Please, anybody, feel free to PM me about going diving. This f...

Welcome Katiusha. I think you should postpone that trip. It's not good to START missing home. Have fun with it.

Re: Belize

That sounds cool. This must be an overhead environment-would it be necessary to have cavern/cave training to dive here? We are actually planning a trip to Belize next Mar-Apr timeframe. I would love to hear more. Our destination is San Pedro, although we have no firm reservations yet.

Re: Got Oxygen?

I don't have a kit. I would like to take a class, but being down here on the oregon border, I don't know if I can make it to one of Valerie's classes. I would like to get the training and carry it, and I'm glad others do as well. Anyone know of a good instructor down south?

Re: So Sick Of Gas Prices...!!!!!!!!!

We have two choices for dive transportation, a pickup (lot's of room, tailgate for gearing up etc., 19 mpg of the most expensive fuel right now), and a subaru (not much room, takes creativity to get geared up in comfort, 27 mpg reg gas). Right now we try to take the subaru. I have been considering s...

My wife was having trouble with her shoulders and neck. Then she was having trouble with her dry suit. Loosening the straps on her bp/w solved both problems.

I've noticed that too. I can see it on my laptop at home, but (don't tell) on the computer at work, the toolbars are darker and the text is unreadable. I'm thinking that this may be a problem with the monitor. I've tried adjusting the monitor at work with no success.
