Re: elephant wall ??
As a landmark some folks, Don Coleman , claim to see a "rock" elephant sitting with it's head turned looking out from the wall. Apparently you can also see a mossy patch on it's rump. :uh: I on the other hand, have looked at it several times with no such luck. That said, it's a nice dive, ...

. So question - if it's placed in the deep section, can you clearly see the top of the Knuckle from where it's located or not? - Janna Disclaimer: I am not an artist, don't play one on TV and have no desires to become one. Re: Some WSA mooring buoys being installed TODAY
It's late for me so I apologize for any spelling errors in advance. Today the buoy at (east) Flagpole (aka The Knuckle) went in. I have mixed feelings about this one. On one hand I'm elated that there will be a marker there (I've dove it both by shore and by boat several times and MISSED it) so the ...

Hi Dusty.
Go to the base of the logs down the line (75 to 80ft). If you don't see them, hold positon for a minute or so, they will come find you.

Point Hudson Canary Rockfish
I dove Point Hudson on Sunday for the first time in awhile and came across a half dozen of these guys. They are shy but very curious which made them hard to photograph. PICT0046.JPG PICT0053.JPG Near the end of the dive I found this little guy. He was the size of my pinky fingernail. Sorry for the p...

Re: Construction at Cove II in Jan.-Feb.
Ever been diving adjacent to a pile driver? Yes, but not operating, so I thought. While they were constructing the Northwest Maritime Center Pier in PT, there was a Tug and Barge with a Pile Driver on it. It was used to, you guessed it, drive the new piles into place. I noticed construction during ...

I don't think you will ever see a pay station here. I think you are required to display a current WDFW Vehicle Use Permit to utilize this resource. If no decal is displayed and you are caught, you may be fined up to $60 per RCW 77.32.380. More info here: http://wdfw.wa.gov/lands/vup/ That being said...
