Geocache!!!!

Post by Dive Monkey »

Anyone else been bit by this bug yet? I just got a new gps for christmas. This is worse than crack and almost as bad as scuba as far as addictions go!

Yeah- I am a geek at heart! I haven't done too much this year, but do enjoy it. I even found one geocache while diving (in the FL Keys).

Have fun with it and let me know if you have any questions.

I've done it off and on with my wife and kids. It's fun.
Last year on new-years day my buddy and I found one on a dive. We found a line in the water and followed it... at the end was a geocache (aquacache?). The other end of the line was tied to a pier.

Looking at the Geocache map, there used to be a scuba one at Les Davis but its gone now. There is still is a bunch along ruston way.

We actually have a Scuba one close to our store. We put it out about 2 years ago, but it is still very popular.

With out using a GPS, I found one under water too.
But I have looked into this , only online. could be addictive. I have no time for another addiction. :axe: :shootself: :slap: or :wedgie:

There's one in the most popular diving pond in Boise, too. We found it a couple of years ago and didn't know what it was. This one just has a slate and white grease pencil so you can leave your name, but when we opened it we discovered the slate was a little too buoyant; it shot straight to the surface. We managed to find it again and gave it to an instructor friend, who put it back where it belonged. That's the only one we've ever seen.

My kids and I go out when we are boating as geocaching is a fun way to explore.

Enjoy the new gps.
