Well I am gonna say that I am coming to this dive but would like to clarify exactly the times? Since I have never dived here before is it current sensitive? I know about the boats and who is bringing the dive flag?

I looked at Steve Boyds site, and theres a wreck nearby(Burton), and Steve says its in a protected harbor, and light if any current.

I just got his book in, so I'll check the wreck location, versus the pier. (they are close, just checked)

Probably best to figure a splash at 10:30, but its not my dive to make that call.

I dont own a dive flag though.

Hey Jeff :) Slack is supposed to be at 10:34 am, I was planning to be there on the dock at 10:00. I have not dove (dived?) in the harbor, but the currents have always looked very mild when I've been hanging out on the waterfront... From what I have read, the Burton is doable from the TIdes' dock. Or there are bottles to look for... Or just playtime with my Xmas present to myself (a camera that is just itching to get wet for the first time)...

My brother said he's got a dive flag to use, but I have to get a confirmation from him about whether he's coming down. Will check tomorrow and post results. I don't have one either - may just have to remedy that....

But I do have 3 tanks now and they're all full :partydance:

Bring it.
See you on the dock @ 10:00! :supz:
I know it's not a deep dive but I'll be diving 21.1% nitrox mix.
.1 makes it a notrox mix right :book: :evil4:
I'll ring in the new year with at least one dive :supz:

Well if it is really a shallow dive and I have 130's who knows I might get 2 dives on 1 tank. depends on dive time and max depth.

I will be there at 10am then :pirate:

I am hoping to get a dive in this weekend if my schedule allows. I have never dove the Tides Tavern dock and it looks like fun. Are you up for one more in the group?

The whole harbor only has a max depth of maybe 45 ft... :)

Everyone who shows up is welcome too :)

Dug out my flag... It's just a little one (story of my life) and it'll be it's cherry dive... Hopefully the snow they're forecasting won't linger... Probably bring my goodie bag to do a little cleanup/hunting as well... See you in the am!!!

Never know what you might find off a public dock like that. According to Dave Behrens the area on the inside of the sand bar at the entrance has lots of nudies so it could be an interesting dive. All my tanks are full up but since I'm headin for PT on Tuesday I have to pass on this one. Got special fill for my first day in PT. 37.5% at 4000psi! Who hooo can you say 90 min + :joshsmith:

According to Janna Nichols' great set of photos, that fishy looking critter :) is a Grunt Sculpin. Cool little fella, I thought.
