Lost Hollis Bat Fin at Edmonds

Post by kenns »

I got caught trying to get out of the water at Edmonds Underwater Park in a squall that caused an impressive surf conditions. Unfortunately, as I tumbled about in the waves, one fin came off and there was no way to find it as these fins are negatively buoyant.

If you find it, please PM me and we can make arrangements to meet or drop me an email kenns61@gmail.com. Perhaps the dive shop down the road from the site will hold it for me. I'll check. They are black with no name on them and less than a year old.

Not familiar with a "Hollis Bat Fin"... are they like the Hollis F-1?

Good luck with the fin - stranger things have happened!

When they first came out everyone said that they looked like fins that Bat Man would wear whilst diving.......

Ah, makes sense!

I'm sure that if someone sees it they'll bring it in.

They are a wonderful fin, BTW, and a huge favorite of many of the divers on the board!

South end or north end of the jetty?
When was the last time you did something for the first time?

North side, close to shore.

Oh yes....size Regular....I have small feet. Hopefully that makes them less desirable to hoard... :dontknow:

If found, it will most likely be someone that doesn't frequent this forum. It will be dropped off at the Edmonds UWS. Check there.

I've dropped them an email when I got home that night. Fingers crossed.

I believe I have your fin! We try to teach our students to bring found gear back to the dive shop so we can check the boards for their owners posts. I had a student give me a fin this weekend matching your description which was found at Edmonds. I can either keep it at the Federal Way UWS store or have it sent to one of our Northern Stores Wednesday. Give me a call 253-874-9387.

Oh my goodness. This is awesome! I haven't checked back lately, thus the late response. Divers are great people, aren't they?? I've PM the finder and hopefully we'll figure out a way to connect. Thanks everyone for looking!
