A friend was just there for a week and got some phenomenal shots. Its not really diving with sharks as much as it is snorkeling while they bring the sharks to you. I saw some good shots looking 'up' without any bubbles so either someone was good at breath hold or there was at least one CCR diver kicking around. The Salmon sharks don't respond the way we normally think of sharks as I understand it, as in they don't come in for chum, it has to be moving 'prey' to get their attention and yes, they are known to be skittish as heck, whether or not CCR would help, well who knows, but that is part of the allure of a trip like this, will you get lucky and get 'the shot' or not

Whether or not this trip is something that most people would consider spending money for has to do with their expectations I imagine. Like some of the other more obscure shark diving trips, these things can be hit or miss - like Greenland shark for example where you just sit there and cross your fingers and hopefully get lucky (and there is nothing to dive otherwise), or Basking sharks in Scotland where you hope the boat can find some when you are there (though if none show at least there is the seal dive).
