Club Dive at Sund Rock
Club Dive at Sund Rock
It was great to see some familiar friends and make some new ones today. Many thanks to penopolypants for all that cooking, and to everyone for all that great food that I got to eat while you were diving!
I'm having my left knee replaced on Tuesday, so there's no telling when I'll get back in the water. But in my heart, I'm down there with you. Thanks for a terrific day!

Huge thank you to everyone who came, helped and enjoyed themselves - especially our ever dependable Cruise Director penopolypants for womaning the grill, and big buddies for taking little buddies out under their wing. It was great to see everyone again or put faces to names. What a gorgeous day. PS - the last pic is of me doing a totally unnecessary surface swim from the ramp all the way over to the Rock
Re: Club Dive at Sund Rock
This Club Dive was a smashing success. Thank you everyone who came out and enjoyed the weather, diving, food, and socializing. Hopefully any of you that have photos will upload them so we can all enjoy the memories. Here are my topside phone pics...
I will get the underwater photos up as soon as I can. Also looking forward to DLH photos with the wideangle, and JT video. And anyone else who recorded the event!

Here a few of my shots from under the water.....
There were plenty of wolf eels, I think I saw around 6-8 on each wall Also plenty of Nudis... Here is a nudi that I cannot identify. Anyone? It was a great time, and thank you to my dive buddies, Sashimifencer, and Doug, for being patient with me while I took photos.

Awesome pics everyone! Thanks everyone for the fun day-it was great to meet everyone in person after reading all the posts over the past couples years. A big thanks to Gdog for taking Doug and me on the dives. It was a great intro to Sund Rock and we were amazed by all the wolfies on both dives. We look forward to more club dives in the future.

Great pics GDog, especially the second one (wolfie portrait). That's a mug only a mother could love but also somehow kinda cute.

Thanks to everyone who helped set up, break down, brought food, consumed food, and made great company. What a great day and a great group!
And of course thanks to Calvin, Andy, and Gdog for the frosty adult beverages after the dive.
Also, my deepest apologies to Gdog about putting peanut butter in the cupcake frosting. I am SO sorry!!

Well I decided to just sit down and finish it. Nothing too long or super crazy. Just the clips I slapped together. Enjoy!

I have probably said it to a hundred people over the years: this is the most amazing group of people I have ever gotten to be part of. I appreciate being allowed to rub shoulders with all of you.
Follow-up: the knee replacement didn't happen. I got in there, was getting ready, but my neck pain was so bad, and new x-rays of it are iffy enough, that we canceled the surgery. They want me to take care of this cervical problem first. So that was a fizzle.
Thanks again to everyone who made this happen!

BTW GDog, I'm pretty sure that's a Nanaimo dorid. Kathy saw several like that, the coloring seems to be coming from something they eat there. But you can just see the red tips of the rhinophores, which is what makes me think Nanaimo. Everybody feel free to correct me.

Excellent video JT. Now I want to see Andy's drone footage!
