Welcome RDW!

Post by Sergeant Pepper »

I thought I would pre-empt this one similar to Gomi. I didn't know who RDW was until I read Randy Williams and dive shop in his profile. I assume this is the Randy that I know from the Bellevue store. Welcome to the club!

Let's see if we can create as much confusion as we did last time! ](*,)

Hello who? What? Where am I? Who are you? Why are you staring at me?! #-o :pale:

Looks like the two of you have succeeded. RDW is the Randy Williams from Starfish Diving, not "the Bellevue store". #-o

Glad to see you here, ol' buddy!!!! About time you got your butt here on NWDC!!!!!

Now that's funny. Please tell me I have the names wrong, and that Randy at the Bellevue store is not also a Williams. At least I think his first name is Randy. ](*,)

Well, since RDW lists his interests as "CCR and Tech", I'm pretty certain that he is, in fact, Randy Williams of Starfish Diving, well known for his adventurous tech dives and his Megalodon CCR. He is also a USCG veteran and proud of it.....so his initial post pretty much says it all.

Unless the "Randy" at "the Bellevue store" (whatever that is) is a technical and CCR diver , as well as a retired "Coastie", I suspect that it's "my" Randy and not "yours"! Hee Hee Hee! \:D/

RDW is indeed Randy Williams of Starfish Diving in Northgate ... also a NAUI tech instructor who I happen to be taking my Advanced Nitrox/Deco class from ... and a long-time icon on the local diving scene.

Not sure who the Randy-of-Bellevue is, but RDW ain't him ...

This thread is vaguely reminiscent of the movie Ground Hog Day!

But in any case, welcome Randy! ....whoever you are! :rr:

I can confirm that- I've been e-mailing with him.

I have to disagree. This is Randy Wiliams (one L) from Arkansas, my old dive buddy who I did OW with in the brackish waters of a moss-covered lake in Papua New Guinea.

I invited him to the site and now y'all have a serious case of mistaken identity.

*totally joking, sorry Randy

Still no word from RDW huh. I'm still confused as to who he may or may not be.

He is, beyond the shadow of a doubt, the Randy Williams of Starfish Diving, the one whom John Rawlings and Gratefull Diver referenced in their previous posts. I don't know if you met a different RW at UWS or not, but I think you may have.

Yeah...it's Randy alright...

Ran into him at Tacoma Scuba the other day...and he revealed his "new identity" to me. Apparently, his old "identity" had some malfunctions.

Welcome RDW....

I think RDW is the (nameless) technical diver!
