Prometheus

Post by Joshua Smith »

Loved it. If you're any kind of sci fi fan, go see it. Ignore the idiot critics. Ignore the reviews. Just go see it. Too much fun.

We always go with the critics reviews. And then take the exact opposite - if they hate it we love it, and versa vice-a ;-)

Prometheus is on the go-see list for sure...

Someday someone will realize that what the critics are looking for has nothing to do with what sells tickets. People go to theaters to be entertained for a couple of hours. Not to experience a new prospective on the human condition or to refresh our souls. We simply want something that is going to engage us for a couple of hours and make us forget the outside world for a short time.

I too have that "if the critics love it it's probably a loser attitude"!

The only box you have to think outside of is the one you build around yourself.

Saw Prometheus yesterday. Very well made and lots of good scifi/horror/action throughout.

But as a fan of the Alien movies, this one left me with a lot of questions about the overall storyline, not to mention a few plot holes in this film as well.

Still a good summer movie and worth seeing if you enjoy that genre.

Just saw it in 3D. After the surgery scene I'll never look at squid the same way again....

I thought it did a pretty good job of explaining Alien/Aliens.

There are plenty of "holes" in it, though, with much left unexplained. However, the end of the film clearly implies that there will probably be a "Prometheus II" in the future. That seems to be the trend with Sci-Fi and Fantasy films nowadays....but that just means that I will be entertained again one or two years from now!
